Growing and dynamic company located in Oklahoma City is looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their team.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a corporate accounting or related field required
  • Familiar with the accounting practices in the energy industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, intercompany accounting, general ledger accounts maintenance and reconciliation required
  • Advanced MS Excel spreadsheet and Word skills required, SSI preferred
  • Ability to work overtime to meet business needs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team oriented, start-up type environment

 

Job Duties:

  • Formulate and post intercompany elimination and month-end close journal entries including, but not limited to, interest and deferred costs, various cost amortization, consolidations, financial reporting and disclosures by business unit, etc.
  • Prepare balance sheet variance analysis
  • Determine correct general ledger coding for various transactions and assist with activation/deactivation of general ledger account strings
  • Assist the manager with special projects and analysis
